Sandhill Quilting Co., Inc. is a family owned and operated corporation that began operation in Cheraw, SC on 2/28/62. Our first plant of 5,000 sq. ft. had only one quilting machine, three sewing machines and a total of five employees. From that humble beginning, the first quilted furniture pad production facility in the Carolinas was started.

     In 1973, Sandhill Quilting built a new 30,000 sq. ft. facility in Wallace, SC. Eight expansions later, that same facility has been expanded into 120,000 sq. ft. This expanded facility enabled Sandhill Quilting to expand its manufacturing & marketing capabilities.

     In 1995, Sandhill Quilting began a major marketing expansion program. Our first branch of 7,500 sq. ft. was started in Atlanta, GA. In 1997, Louisville KY was selected to be our second facility of 7,500 sq. ft. and doubled in size to 15,000 in 2005.

     In 1996, Kimberly-Clark selected Sandhill Quilting to be their exclusive manufacturer of a revolutionary mildew proof and non-flammable quilted pad.

     Sandhill Quilting's constant growth can be contributed to the Walters' family continued management, skilled employees, reliable vendors and loyal customers. With the support of our employees and customers, Sandhill Quilting is the largest manufacturer of quilted furniture pads in the USA.
